"Living Rhine": An ambitious name for an ambitious programme. Coordinated by the Region of Alsace, this programme brings together numerous like-minded partners whose aim is to restore the unique natural habitats of the Rhine area. Thanks to studies, restoration and sensitising activities etc., the Living Rhine programme paints a different picture of the industrialised Rhine, namely one of a river supporting unique and dense forests and surprising species of animals and plants. All of which have to be discovered now!
